Guy Anthony Turturice, 74, of California, PA, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Saturday, April 21, 2018.
He was born Friday, August 20, 1943, in Brownsville, PA, a son of the late Dominic and Martha W. (Beatty) Turturice.
He was a member of the former California American Legion JFK Post 377 and the California Hill Gun Club. Guy was a Coal Miner; he was also a teacher in the California Area School District for many years. He proudly served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Left to cherish his memory are his sons and daughters-in-law, Guy L. Turturice and wife Robin of St. Albans, WV, and Lane Turturice and wife Janine of Washington, PA; his twin brother, Jesse Turturice and wife Brenda of Rodgers, OH, and Dean Turturice and wife Marsha of Rodgers, OH. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren, Lance, Rhianna, Rhylee, Ethan, Lauren, Christian and Laken.
Friends will be received in the Mariscotti Funeral Home, Inc., Anthony N. Mariscotti, Supervisor, 323 Fourth Street, California, PA on Monday, April 23, 2018 from 7-9 pm and on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral services will be held in the United Christian Church DOC on Wednesday at 11:00 am with Rev. Jana Quisenberry officiating.
Everyone is asked to meet directly at the Church.
Interment will follow in Highland Cemetery where the American Legion and USAF will accord Military Services.
