William Joseph Grooms

William Joseph Grooms, Jr., 66, of California, PA, died Friday, September 28, 2018.

He was born Saturday, March 29, 1952, in Brownsville, PA, a son of Doris Jeanne (Franks) Encapera and the late William Joseph Grooms, Sr.

In addition to his father Joe was preceded in death by his step father, Richard “Ding Ding” Encapera.

Left to cherish his memory are wife, Kathy Grooms of California, PA, mother, Doris Encapera; four children, Tobi Lacey and husband Donald of West Brownsville, PA, Shane Thomas Grooms of New Kensington, PA, Seth Joseph Grooms of California, PA, and Kami Cramer and husband Dan of Monessen, PA; brother, Ronald Leroy Grooms and wife Janelle of Johnson City, TN, sister, Gloria Jeanne Trettel and husband Bob of Monongahela, PA and brother, Nicolai Richard Encapera and wife Sarah of West Yellowstone, MT, brother-in-law Thomas Crockett and wife Karen of Tampa, FL, sister-in-law Donna Bongiorno and husband Parke of California, PA, sister-in-law (deceased) Bonita Skaggs and husband Ron Skaggs. Also surviving are the lights of his life, his grandchildren, Colton Lacey, Madelyn Lacey, and Caleb Grooms.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 6, 2:00PM at the West Brownsville American Legion Post 940.   

Funeral Services have been entrusted to the Mariscotti Funeral Home, Inc., Anthony N. Mariscotti, Supervisor, 323 Fourth Street, California, PA.
