Zona Gale Rhodes, 76, of W. Brownsville, Pa, died Sunday, January 13, 2019.
She was born Thursday, May 21, 1942, in W. Brownsville, a daughter of the late Ralph and Jessie (Bakewell) Miller.
She was a member of W. Brownsville VFD Ladies Auxiliary; the W. Brownsville American Legion Women’s Auxiliary and the Order of the Eastern Star. Zona’s favorite pastime was watching her grandchildren play basketball and baseball.
In addition to her parents Zona was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Rhodes; brother, Ralph "Sonny" Miller, Jr. and sister, Maryann Miller in infancy.
Left to cherish her memory are two daughters and sons-in-law, Bobbie Gale & Von Braddock and Dawn Cheree & David Timko; sister-in-law, Darlene Miller all of W. Brownsville, PA. Also surviving are 4 grandchildren, Devin and Jessie Braddock, Derek and Davey Timko and numerous nieces & nephews.
Friends will be received in the Mariscotti Funeral Home, Inc., Anthony N. Mariscotti, Supervisor, 323 Fourth Street, California, PA on Thursday January 17 from 6-8 pm, on Friday from 2-4 & 6-8 pm and until 11:00 am on Saturday when funeral services will be held in the funeral home.
The Order of the Eastern Star will conduct services on Thursday evening at 7:00 pm. The W.Brownsville American Legion will have services on Friday evening at 6:30 pm and the W.Brownsville VFD will have their services at 7:00 pm on Friday.
Interment will follow in Highland Cemetery.
