George Wiley Hammond, 68, of Uniontown, PA, died Wednesday, July 10, 2019.
He was born Thursday, April 26, 1951, in Charleroi, PA, a son of the late Roy Thomas Hammond and Ann E. (Furnier) Hammond.
George loved to fish and boat. He was a member of the Lemont Sportsman Club and the California Young Men's Club.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister Judy McConnell and a brother, Roy Dale Hammond.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Debra Hammond; daughter, Kristie Lynn McCabe and husband Bradley; son, George Thomas Hammond; brother Ross Verbisky; sister, Patty Cavey and his grandchildren Olivia and Lauren.
Friends will be received in the Mariscotti Funeral Home, Inc., Anthony N. Mariscotti, Supervisor, 323 Fourth Street, California, PA on Monday July 15, 2019 for a memorial visitation from 11 am to 1 pm. Funeral services will begin at 1:00 pm with Rev. Rod Johnson officiating.
Interment will follow in Highland Cemetery.
