Harry A. Wright

Harry A. Wright, Sr., 81, of Daisytown, PA, died peacefully on Saturday, August 5, 2023.

He was born Tuesday, January 6, 1942, in Brownsville, PA, a son of the late Marvin and the late Lillian (Neimi) Wright.

He was a member of the Monongahela Valley Lodge No. 461 Free and Accepted Masons. Harry was an avid hunter and angler, singer, and dancer. His greatest love was for his family, watching his grandchildren play sports and camping with his family in Smethport. He loved   woodworking and crafting furniture for his family and friends. Harry was a “Jack of all Trades.” 

In addition to his parents, Harry was preceded in death by his first wife, Donna (Johnson) Wright; infant son, Nicholas; grandson, Joshua Sampson; three brothers, Ernest, Terry, and Richard Wright; two sisters, Ellen Keder, and Lorena Pallini and infant twin brothers.

Left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Renee Colaizzi, and husband Leo of Bridgeville; three sons, Brian Wright of Daisytown, John Wright of Columbus, OH, and Harry A. Wright, Jr, and wife April, of Brownsville, PA. Also surviving are four grandchildren, Katherine Vogel, Elisabeth Wright, Ian Wright, and Eli Wright, and his loving companion Alice (Glawinski) Wright.

Friends will be received in the Mariscotti Funeral Home, Inc., Anthony N. Mariscotti, Supervisor, 323 Fourth Street, California, PA on Tuesday, August 8, 2023, from 2-4 & 6-8 pm. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 am on Wednesday in the funeral home with Rev. Mark McCallion, officiating.

Interment will follow in Taylor Cemetery.
