Obituary
June Leon Stankovich, 97, of Roscoe (Mt. Tabor), PA, died Friday, November 12, 2021.
She was born Sunday, June 29, 1924, in California, PA, a daughter of the late John Adam Huffman and Florence (Walker) Huffman.
June proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps during WWII.
In addition to her parents June was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Stankovich: daughter, Cathy Gales; granddaughter, Kelly Gales and brothers, John “Jack”, Dale and Raymond “Ram” Huffman.
Left to cherish her memory are brothers, Donald “Skip” Huffman of California, PA, and Alfred “Ato” Huffman of Mt. Tabor; and her best friend since the age of 5, Cleda Work. Also surviving are her grandson, Ted Nathan Gales; great grandson, Nathan, and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received in the Mariscotti Funeral Home, Inc., Anthony N. Mariscotti, Supervisor, 323 Fourth Street, California, PA on Monday, November 15, 2021 from 10 am to 11 am, the hour of service with Rev. Kenneth Custer officiating.
Interment with full Military Honors will follow in Howe Cemetery.
