Obituary

Myrtle Belle Matheson, 98, of California, PA, died Saturday, June 11, 2022.

She was born Thursday, August 2, 1923, in Adamsburg, PA, the daughter of the late Curtis and Eva (Kelly) Kerns.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church of California.

In addition to her parents Myrtle was preceded in death by her husband Earl Matheson, Jr.; granddaughter, Ashley Evans; son-in-law, Will Evans; and two brothers, James and William Kerns.

Left to cherish her memory are her two children, Bonnie Evans, William Matheson and wife Cheryl; grandchildren Bethany Tobias and husband Chris, Duncan Evans, and Hannah Matheson (James Harris) all of California, PA.

Friends will be received for a Memorial Service on Friday, June 17, 2022 at 11:00 am, in the California United Methodist. Rev. Dawn Hargraves will officiate.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Mariscotti Funeral Home, Inc., Anthony N. Mariscotti, Supervisor, 323 Fourth Street, California, PA.
