Paul D. Chafin

Paul Douglas Chafin, 78, of Brownsville, PA, died Thursday, October 5, 2023.

He was born Thursday, January 11, 1945, in Paintsville, KY a son of the late Albert and Lexie (Spaulding) Chafin.

Paul was an avid fan of all sports.

In addition to his parents Paul was preceded in death by siblings, Alleene Smith, Bob Chafin, Jean Thompson, Jack "Al" Chafin, and Lillmon (Ralph) Chafin.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 47 years, Kathy (Hartmann) Chafin; three sons Ryan Chafin and wife Molly of Dunmore, PA, Neil Chafin (Michelle Douyon) of Brownsville, PA, and Evan Chafin also of Brownsville, PA; brother, Tom Chafin and wife Carrie; sister, Bonnie Wilson and husband Eugene; brother, Don Chafin and wife Fran; and brother, Jim Chafin, all of Columbus, OH.  Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews, his friend and neighbor, Tony Pattitucci and his dog, Teddy Bear.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Mariscotti Funeral Home, Inc., Anthony N. Mariscotti, Supervisor, 323 Fourth Street, California, PA.

As per Paul’s request there will be no visitation or funeral services. A memorial service will be held at a future date.
