Obituary

Sandra Jean Ermlich “Sandy” Willett, 85, of California, PA passed away peacefully at home, on Saturday January 21, 2023.

She was born on Monday, August 9, 1937, in North Charleroi, a daughter of the late William F. Ermlich  and Thelma Stephenson Ermlich Rosborough.

On May 27, 1961, she married Melvin Keith Willett, who passed away on March 19, 2015.

Sandy retired from Washington County, Office of District Court. She was a graduate of California High School in 1955 and helped to organize the class reunions for many years.

She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of California, PA where she served as a member of Session, The Fellowship Committee, and served as the Church Treasurer. Sandy served for many years on the California Borough Civil Service Commission, was a member of the California Area Historical Society and when her children were young, the Girl Scouts and the California Area Band Association.

Surviving are her daughters, Lila Costello and husband Walter, and Leigh Ann Folmar and husband Tramel; two brothers, F. Kenneth Ermlich and W. Edward Ermlich and wife Dianne; one sister, Lila Weiss and numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews.

Family and friends will be received in the Mariscotti Funeral Home, Inc., Anthony N. Mariscotti, Supervisor, 323 Fourth Street, California, PA on Tuesday, January 24, 2023, from 2-4 and 7-9 pm, and until 11:00 am on Wednesday, January 25, 2023, when funeral services will be held in the funeral home with Rev. Dr. Grafton T. Eliason, officiating.

Interment will be private and at the convenience of her family in Howe Cemetery, Long Branch, PA.
